While the summer season isn't exactly regarded as the best time for a Florida camping trip, it's not totally impossible. You have to be doubly careful though.
If you do plan on going on a camping trip in tropical areas, you should consider certain outdoor conditions like heat, rain, thunderstorms, lightning and hurricanes. Heat exhaustion and heat stroke are two things you must protect yourself from during the summer. It's also common during this season to have rain and thunderstorms. And since Florida is famous for its spectacular lightning occurrences, you’d better stay away from water during a storm. Hurricanes are also possible in the summer.
Have fun at home
With limited budget, activities at home can also be a good choice. There are ideas for arranging activities at home that won’t make summer boring. You may swim with kids in the pool in your home. Just buy a pool or set it up in your garden or in the house and let the kids play the water balloons there.If you have a creative idea, you may make your own house or garden as a playground. You may use the chalk to be sidewalk and let the kids turn the driveway into apiece of art or play hopscotch.
Another choice is making the backyard camping. Make a camp in your backyard and prepare barbeque and eat outside the house. You may also dig the ground in your backyard and let the kids play with mud in the summer or make it like a treasure hunt game. It is sure a fun thing for kids.
